Where We Serve
South Bronx
Code for Life USA is dedicated to equipping young people living in under resourced neighborhoods in the South Bronx of New York City. Our students primary live in Mott Haven (where 43% live below the poverty line), Hunts Point (35% below poverty), and Morris Heights (35% below poverty).
Approximately 60% of our students are Latino (including Mexican, Dominican, and Ecuadorian backgrounds). The remaining 40% are comprised of youth from African countries (such as Senegal, Mali, Ghana, Nigeria) and African American 11–18-year-old students.
